The Couch Potato 2

My newest creation, having a lot of fun working on this one. Probably because it's so absurd Trying different techniques, really just going all out. Hope whoever views this enjoys it! It's the sequel to a cut out animation I did, that was also pretty good in my opinion for a first timer.

Roughly took 49 hours to complete.



Began: 06/06/06
Got done around 30 seconds. 5 hours of work.
Update: 06/07/06
Maybe another 3 seconds. Worked mainly on storyboard and timing. 2 hours.

Got done another 10 seconds. About 2 1/2 hours of work.
Update: 06/11/06
Got done another 5 seconds. About 5 hours of work.

Maybe another 5 seconds. Around 7 hours of work. Why so few seconds then? Because the backgrounds and imagery are incredibly detailed. This update included the house destroyed, the view of the capitol, the SUV with the driver honking, and the two cars drawn and in place.

Got done 16.5 seconds. Around 9 hours of work. Fix the glitch that was causing the memory error (turns out a jpeg was glitching. Simply re-imported it and it worked fine). Lots of hand drawn animation in this time of work. From Sun and Potato to Jet flying in with Missle. Still need to add more detail when the jet is flying in though, more missles, bullets, etc.
Update: 07/03/06
3 seconds done. Very intense, scene in which one jet is firing multiple missles and bullets. Also drew the pilot closeup. 2 hours of work.

10 more seconds done, maybe more. Around 5 hours of work. Lots of FBF animation (frame by frame). So close to being finished I can taste it...if the animation was a delicious cookie All that's left now is the Pounding to get into the Memorial, and uprooting Lincoln.

Another 20 seconds finished, lots of frame by frame work of him pounding the walls. Around 6 hours of work. The two angles of lincoln probably took the longest. Literally on the last scene, where he gets in the chair.

FINISHED!!!!! About 5 hours. Next step is uploading to various sites and making sure there are no errors.
